I’m getting lost in these beautiful blue peepers! 😍

Rejuvenation of the eyes, in my opinion, is best when subtle, but the cool thing about this transformation is that I did absolutely nothing for her eyes directly. What you’re seeing here is a combination of an endoscopic-style brow lift, along with a deep plane facelift which included midface lifting for lower eyelid support. The result is a fresher vibrant look without loss of character or identity.

How stunning is she?!! 🤩 I’m loving this super subtle yet impressive transformation for my beautiful patient who is now around 6 months out from her procedure.

I performed my signature deep plane preservation facelift, deep structural neck lift with sculpting, brow lift, and an upper lip lift for balance. You can see how the midface lift, which is a key component of the deep plane facelift, helps support the lower eyelids as well. I’m thrilled with her rejuvenation overall and how it looks smooth and natural.

Remember this lovely lady? Her’s was an especially gratifying case because she had an underwhelming “mini-lift” with another surgeon just a couple years before seeing me. She was frustrated about residual laxity, minimal improvement, and worse, large keloid scars behind her ears because of excessive skin tension.

Last year I performed a revision corrective deep plane facelift (focusing on a more natural vertical lift), necklift with deep contouring, and importantly, repair of her keloid scars.

She absolutely loved the results and wanted to maximize her rejuvenation as much as possible. So for balance I recently performed a temporal brow reset with temple fat grafting and full face CO2 laser resurfacing. She’s now several months out and I couldn’t be more excited about how she’s healing! 😊

Her case is a great example of the limitations inherent with traditional facelift techniques, as well as the importance of balance and a comprehensive approach towards natural-looking rejuvenation.

I love this result because it highlights my goals for full facial rejuvenation. Absolute perfection with the removal of every wrinkle, crease, or shadow is unrealistic. What do I look for in my facelift and necklift res

What do I look for in my facelift and necklift results??

1. Clean and crisp jawline that isn’t unnaturally sharp and still looks soft and feminine
2. Balanced lift to the midface and cheek
3. Harmony between the chin position and neck contour
4. Normal-looking youthful earlobes
5. Normal tragus (the piece of cartilage in front of the ear canal)
6. Relaxed and natural-looking skin
7. Appropriate highlights and shadows of youth, especially around the cheeks, mouth, and chin
8. Minimal visible scars

I am my harshest critic and over the years I’ve refined my techniques to improve in these areas. This case embodies many of the advanced maneuvers I’ve incorporated over the years including ear-directed incisional design, full deep-plane release, submandibular gland reduction, fat contouring and repositioning, mastoid crevasse for rear jawline definition, and a chin implant for balance.

There was a time when I may have fallen short on a case like this. Now, I’m thrilled with her outcome and couldn’t be happier for her. If you’re not striving to get better, then what are you really doing, am I right?
