One week after rhinoplasty, it's common for swelli

One week after rhinoplasty, it's common for swelling to show up in unexpected places.

In this case, the upper lip appears larger than normal not because the filler suddenly changed, but because post-operative swelling has settled into an area where filler is already present.

Swelling is essentially water within the soft tissues. Since filler attracts and holds water, areas with filler can temporarily look more swollen during the healing process.

This doesn't just happen in the lips. The same effect can occur anywhere on the face where filler has been placed.

Just a fun fact to show why patience is often one of the most important parts of healing.

This lovely lady was no longer feeling like herself. She had already underwent a traditional facelift & necklift in the past, but despite feeling super vibrant and spunky, her face was looking less than.
