Procedures Performed: Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty with Fat Transposition, CO2 Laser Resurfacing, and Buccal Fat Reduction
Several months after undergoing upper and lower blepharoplasty with fat transposition, CO2 laser resurfacing, and buccal fat reduction, this patient in her late 40s demonstrates improved facial definition and smoother, more youthful contours. During the lower blepharoplasty, fat transposition was used to reposition existing orbital fat from under the eyes into the tear trough area, filling hollows and blending the transition between the lower eyelid and cheek. This technique preserves natural volume where needed, rather than simply removing fat, which helps avoid a hollowed or overcorrected appearance. Additionally, buccal fat reduction was performed to remove excess fat from the buccal fat pads, slimming the midface and enhancing the definition of the cheekbones and jawline. This internal contouring helps reduce lower cheek fullness, creating a more sculpted and balanced facial shape.
