As we age, gravity causes the muscles, fat, and soft tissues of the face to shift downward.

Repositioning those tissues is an important part of facial rejuvenation, but it’s not always the whole story.

Restoring volume where it has been lost can be just as important in creating a result that looks balanced, refreshed, and natural.

I grew up in the DC area and served in the Air Force after 9/11. I also spent over five years living in New York City during my surgical training.

I have deep ties to both places, and I still drive by the Pentagon every single day.

In the running for "Nicest Man in the World," this terrific human was tired of looking tired. People were constantly coming up to him to ask if everything was okay... even when he felt great.

I didn't think he needed anything major, so we opted for a conservative tweak for his undereyes to give him that youthful glow once more. He's now over 2 years out from lower blepharoplasty with fat grafting and I couldn’t be more excited!

Surgery around the eyes is almost always best kept conservative, especially for male patients in order to preserve masculinity. As shown here, when done appropriately, this subtle enhancement can make a world of difference in confidence! 💪💪

Now 6 months out from her facial rejuvenation procedure, Cary is finally feeling more like herself.

Not every recovery is the same, and this is a great example of how one person's healing journey can differ from another's.

Still swollen months after your facelift? It doesn’t necessarily mean something is wrong.

I always remind my patients that healing isn’t a race. Everyone recovers at a different pace, and even when you look healed on the outside, your body is still making changes beneath the surface.

Give your body time. Healing is a process, and your results will continue to settle and improve along the way.

This beautiful patient felt like she always looked tired, no matter how much rest she got the night before. So to give her a subtle refresh we developed a personalized plan that included a temporal brow reset, lower blepharoplasty (avoiding surgery for the upper lids), conservative facial fat grafting, and CO₂ laser resurfacing.

Each component addressed a different aspect of aging, from restoring volume and smoothing the lower eyelids to improving skin quality and gently restoring the brow.

The goal was never to make her look different. It was to help her look more rested, refreshed, and like the best version of herself while preserving the natural character of her eyes.
